Tobin Keller and Julie Connell are both from the Santa Cruz/Watsonville area. Tobin teaches at both MPC and Cabrillo college. They are both approaching the idea of botanicals from a printmaking standpoint - but with very different aesthetics. Tobin's work is very serious, mostly black and white while Julie's work is more lyrical, light and colorful. She incorporates handmade and printed papers into botanical collages.

Monica Bauer lives and works in Chicago. She teaches at the Art Institute and has had exhibitions all over the US, Europe and Australia. Her cheeky paintings incorporate pop imagery mostly from toys produced for corporate advertising. In these works, the socio-political titles are very important to the meaning of the painting. The paintings are fun and ironic and will harken to our childhoods.
